Axial Spondyloarthritis Trial Recruitment

Younger adults with years of chronic back pain and, often, no formal diagnosis yet — the hardest part is separating them from general back pain.

Non-radiographic axial spondyloarthritis is frequently undiagnosed for years. Many eligible patients describe themselves as having bad backs, not a rheumatologic condition.

That makes the screening layer the whole job: inflammatory back pain features, age at onset, and HLA-B27 or MRI history decide whether a referral is worth a site visit.
